Coffs Classic

The Coffs Classic has rapidly grown into one of the premier sporting events on the regional calendar, with the 2025 and 2026 tournaments drawing huge crowds and exceptional competition. Each year, over 70 teams from Ballina, Armidale, Tamworth, Newcastle, Central Coast, and across NSW come together for a massive weekend of high‑energy action, great sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments.

A huge thank‑you goes to our generous sponsors and outstanding host venues—Sportz Central, Wiigulga Sports Complex, and Bishop Druitt College, whose support and facilities help make this event possible. We’re also grateful to Star Tagz for supplying their iconic jibbitz and to Athlead for the always‑popular sportsmanship socks given out to a member of each participating team. We couldn’t run this event without our amazing referees and referee and court supervisors (who you can spot in yellow around the courts).

Each division winner secures a champion’s plaque, but it’s not just the prizes that make the event memorable, there’s the off-court fun in beautiful Coffs Harbour and don’t forget a visit to the famous Big Banana is a must. You might also spot bananas dancing around the courts, keeping the crowd smiling and the atmosphere electric.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Mayor of Coffs Harbour Nikki Williams and the Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh, who attend each year to officially open the tournament and show their support for local sport and community.

And finally, an enormous thank‑you to the committed and passionate Coffs Classic Committee, along with the Coffs Harbour Basketball Association Board and many volunteers. Their hard work, dedication, and behind‑the‑scenes effort are the reason this event continues to grow, thrive, and deliver an amazing experience for all.
