Coffs Harbour Basketball Association was founded in 1968 and has grown to be one of the largest and most successful in regional NSW.

CHBA Player Pathways (from learning to play to representing our city)

Sporting Schools and Ford Aussie Hoops
Our programs start with Sporting Schools where we deliver school programs for all primary schools in the Coffs Harbour local government area (LGA).

For beginners wanting to play basketball for the first time, we offer the Basketball Australia sanctioned Ford Aussie Hoops program for 5-12 year-olds on Mondays (in Coffs Harbour) and Thursdays (in Woolgoolga). We offer a FREE trial for all youngsters who would like to try basketball in the Ford Aussie Hoops program for the first time, just email the office on admin@coffsharbourbasketball.com.au to arrange.

Junior Domestic Competitions
The next step is to play in our Junior Domestic Competitions during Winter (Terms 2 & 3; U10s – U18s) or Summer (Terms 4 & 1; U9s – U17s).

Junior Girls Domestic Competition plays on Wednesday nights in age-based divisions, currently offering one division per age group.
Junior Boys Domestic Competition plays on Friday nights in age-based divisions, currently offering two divisions per age group.
- Our Domestic Competitions run in a Club Structure, where our Clubs are Narwhals, Mantas, Seahorses and BDC Barracudas.

Senior Domestic Competitions
After Junior Domestic Competitions, you can come and join our Senior Domestic Competitions:

Senior Men’s Domestic Competition plays on Monday nights, currently offering both Competitive and Social grades.
Senior Women’s Domestic Competition plays on Tuesday nights, currently offering both Competitive and Social grades.

Junior and Senior Representative Competition (Waratah Junior/Senior League)
The Coffs Harbour Suns is our representative program and trials for these teams are usually held in October each year.

Basketball is one of the fastest growing sports in Coffs Harbour and we offer a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for all ages. Come along and join us on the court today!
